PATRICIA MILLICENT TURNER
Presidential Award Winner
A "Daughter" of Sierra Leone and a member of Daughters of the King, Patricia Turner hears GOD's "call," and obeys. Three years ago, utilizing her skills in Hotel Management and Medical Health Information, she volunteered to become the full-time unpaid secretary for her church, St. George's Episcopal.
With the encouragement of her rector, Father Vincent Harris, she has been instrumental in expanding St George's principal outreach activity "The Feast of Pentecost" to becoming "International Sunday." This global celebration of food and entertainment highlights and recognizes the cultural diversities of the over 15 nationalities (United States, Africa, Asia, The Caribbean, and Europe) represented in the membership of St. George's congregation.
As a mother, sister, aunt, and friend, Patricia Millicent Turner is a loving, warm, pastoral presence in her church and community......"a virtuous woman whose price is far above rubies".
